The Christmas Present

No, I'm not proud of the fact that we bribed a 10-year-old boy with the promise of a dirt bike to get him to move to Kansas. Yes, I am proud of how well he's adjusted to the move. Here he is on Christmas Day 2001, getting ready to ride his motorcycle for the first time.

Out of this world

The view from space...
I cannot claim credit for this photo, it's a USGS photo from the TerraServer website ( I had to post it because I think it's incredible that they can take a picture of my house from outer space and I can identify the house, pond and out buildings. Sort of scary too, in a 'big brother' way...

Solution to February 6th "Find the Cats Photo"

3 cats found
Struts (foreground) and Darwin (up the cat tree) were easy to find, but the black, black cat, Elmo, can only be identified by the eye shine (small circle level with bottom of windows - exploded circle bottom left).
